I don’t think this reflects Christianity, nor should it. The Bible is a collection of stories and genealogy from different people, from different social statuses and different periods of time. While slavery was happening and was documented within the pages of the bible does not mean God condoned it and it does not say anywhere that these are rules that we must abide to modern day. Our world is broken and evil because we have chosen to be violent and greedy people with the free will at hand, but God is present in the moments that shine through all the hate.
